Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Adab LLC ("Adab", "we", "us") handles personal information in MyShifts, our staff scheduling service. MyShifts is used by hospitals, clinics and other organizations ("Organizations") to schedule their staff. In most cases the Organization decides what information goes into MyShifts, and we process it on the Organization's behalf.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, work email address, job role (for example RN, PCA or Attending), title, unit and manager role.
- Scheduling information: your availability, assigned shifts, home team, planned shifts per week, orientation and preceptor status, float status, shift swap and open-shift requests, and the decisions and notes on them.
- Messages: notifications sent to you in MyShifts and by email, and whether you have read them.
- Technical information: sign-in records and basic logs our hosting provider keeps to run and secure the service.
MyShifts is not designed to hold patient information. Please do not enter patient names or other health information about patients.
How we use it
- to provide MyShifts: show you your schedule, route requests to the right managers, and send in-app and email notifications;
- to keep the service secure, including enforcing that people only see the information their role allows;
- to support users and fix problems;
- to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- You see your own schedule, availability, requests and messages.
- Your unit's managers, provider managers and directors see the information they need to schedule and approve work for the staff they are responsible for.
- Colleagues see only what a swap or open shift requires, such as a colleague's name and a shift they could trade.
- Service providers that host and run MyShifts for us: Google (Firebase and Google Cloud, for hosting, sign-in, database and server functions) and our email provider (for sending notifications). They process data only to provide those services to us.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as your Organization uses MyShifts, or as its agreement with us requires. When a manager removes your account, your access ends and your future shifts are cleared; historical schedule records may be kept for the Organization's records. Organizations can ask us to delete their data when they stop using the service.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with Google Cloud. Access is controlled by sign-in and by server-side rules that limit each person to their own information or the units they manage. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
Your choices
- You can turn off notification emails in MyShifts under Inbox.
- To see, correct or delete your information, contact your Organization's MyShifts manager or administrator, or email us. Where the law gives you additional rights, we will honor them.
Children
MyShifts is for working adults and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app or by email.
